GaDangme Voice is considering a DEMO on the streets of Accra against the planned demolition of the Ga Community Centre.
A planned visit to Obonu Radio
At its Emergency Meeting held recently in Hackney on 26th January 2019, the Executive Council has decided that, to ensure broad participation in both the executive functions and the general operations in Ghana, the current Interim Executive Committee (IEC) will now be renamed The Executive Board with more autonomy and broad remit.
As part of the preliminary process in effecting this restructuring, the duties of the current Executive Council as the highest decision-making body will cease from 7th March 2019, with the newly formed Executive Board in Ghana taking over all aspects of the executive duties.
Also with effect from 7th March 2019, the new role of the current Executive Council will be trusteeship, and it will be called, The Board of Trustees.
In the light of these changes, we ask members who have the desire to take up executive roles in Ghana to do so by contacting the General Secretary on 00447400599095 or by a post on the GV's Facebook or WhatsApp group platforms.
The Draft Constitution of the Association will be updated accordingly to reflect these changes.
We anticipate full cooperation from members in making these changes a success.
GaDangme Voice is currently working on an online, paper and social media petition to be submitted to the President against the planned demolition of some structures including the Ga Community Centre along some coastal ares of Osu and Accra.
